National Survey on Balancing Work, Family and Caregiving: Share your experiences

If you are caring for a relative, particularly one with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia, you know that caregiving is a resource-intensive responsibility. 

Caregiving is especially taxing when you are also engaged in paid employment. It becomes a balancing act that often results in higher levels of work-life conflict, as well as emotional and physical strain.

A new survey is asking employed caregivers to share their experiences.

The first-ever CLC National Young Workers’ Conference will be held from October 23 to 25, 2016. This conference will bring together young workers, youth activists, and allies to build young workers’ power to address the changing nature of work, empower young and new leadership in workplaces and unions, and lay the framework for a renewed and growing labour movement.

Call Out: PSAC BC Racially Visible Regional Conference – Organizing Committee

PSAC-BC is planning on holding a Racially Visible Regional Conference in the Spring of 2016 in Vancouver! 
 
We are currently seeking members who are willing to play an important role in the organizing of this conference by providing input from a regional perspective.  The Organizing Committee will work closely with Jennifer Chieh Ho, PSAC-BC Racially Visible Equity Coordinator, and Monica Urrutia, PSAC Regional Representative, and will be expected to provide their services in the lead up to, during, and after the conference.
