Last weekend members who work at Purolator Inc. from local UPCE 20095 educated themselves on their union, the collective bargaining process, discussed work place issues, and elected their bargaining team.
Your bargaining team members are Joanne Hay, Karen Hirst, Amanda Dawe, and Sandra Jewitt as an alternate.
Members met with Yvan Belanger, UPCE National President, Janelle Ho-Shing, PSAC Negotiator and Monica Urrutia, PSAC Regional Representative to help mobilize UPCE 20095 members during this round of bargaining. The Local also created a Coordinating Committee with great representation from across the province who will act as an effective communication network to keep members informed and involved. Coordinating Committee members will be outreaching to members for your contact information to ensure bargaining updates such as these are communicated to you as quickly as possible.
The Local has been receiving bargaining demands from members since the call-out in May. UPCE 20095 members are encouraged to continue to send bargaining demands to Joanne Hay, your Local President at joandwes@shaw.ca or by inter-office mail by August 10, 2012.
The Purolator-PSAC contract is set to expire on December 31, 2012.
