We are proud to announce PSAC BC has endorsed the $10/day child care plan put forward by the Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC. We are calling on government to adopt and implement the plan so that children, families, communities and our economy are served by a high quality, universal, democratic and accountable child care.
In a letter to the Coalition, REVP Bob Jackson writes:
On behalf of the British Columbia Regional Council of the Public Service Alliance of Canada, and the 18,000 PSAC members that live and work here in BC, I am happy to endorse the $10/day child care plan.
The Regional Council wholeheartedly and unanimously endorsed the plan at our last meeting.
The $10/day child care plan has the potential to make a real difference for communities, families, and children in BC and we will be encouraging PSAC Locals, Area Councils, and other structures within our organization to find out more about the plan, and sign on as endorsers themselves.
We would also like to extend an invitation to you or a member of the CCCABC team to attend our next in-person meeting so that you can brief the Council on your progress and discuss how we can support your valuable work.
