The B.C. Federation of Labour Occupational Health and Safety Centre is seeking applicants to fill a five day per week term position with the Centre’s Occupational Health and Safety program for young workers.The position is beginning Monday, August 19, 2013 for a one year term with possible extension and is part of the USW 2009 bargaining unit at the B.C. Federation of Labour, salary and benefits are reflected in the appropriate Collective Agreement.Details in the attached letter below.

Yesterday the government crammed through Bill C-45, incorporating hundreds of pages of major legislative changes that Canadians have not been consulted on. This government knows it would lose public support if each of these initiatives were opened up to public scrutiny and debate.

Posted on behalf of Daphne Ho, A/Regional Council Young Worker Coordinator The B.C. Federation of Labour is made up of thousands of members of different trade unions in B.C. The B.C. Fed is holding its Convention from November 26 to 30, 2012. As Brother Jim Sinclair's attached letter mentions (scroll down), each year the B.C. Fed holds a young workers conference just prior to the Convention and this year is no exception.
